Magnetic Locks

An electromagnetic lock, magnetic lock, or maglock is a locking device that consists an electromagnet and an armature plate.

Maglocks have not changed very much over the past 20 years. This consistency has allowed manufacturers to focus on such things as lowering power consumption while providing higher holding forces.
