I have the M62 SERIES MAGNALOCK that I have installed on a steel door. With the plate in hand the magnet is very strong, but after attaching it to the door the magnet becomes very weak. I have isolated the plate from the door, but still having that issue. Any ideas?

It sounds like a potential alignment issue between the maglock & plate once mounted. First, make sure there are no gaps between the maglock and plate when the door is closed. Second, check the center bolt holding the plate to the door and confirm it is not overtightened. The plate must be able to "float" as this will allow for proper self-alignment when mating to the magnetic lock face.
