This kit can be used on a variety of door types to provide an alarm if the door has been left opened for too long. However, this package is packaged with a plug-in style power supply that is designed for a standard 120vac outlet. An alternative to using that plug-in supply would be to hard-wire the remaining components directly to a 12vdc power source.
