Can the SDC SECURITY DOOR CONTROLS 290 MICRO CABINET LOCK be used to secure a drawer that slides out in both directions. And can key-cards be used for locking and unlocking?

The 290 Micro will not function with a two way drawer slide.
A keycard could be used to unlock a 290 Micro with the addition of a card reader unit such as the CC-3800.

Can this be installed on a regular entrance door? Or what lock would work to prevent a person who sleep walks to exit the house at night?

No, we would not recommend installing this lock on a regular entrance door as it is designed for small cabinets and requires a hard-wired connection to a power supply.
