The RF-M8500 electronic hotel lock from Maglocks.com features leading edge RFID technology with a mortise lock body and built in deadbolt.

RF style locks offer many advantages over traditional swipe card locks:
• No exposed card slots on the face of the unit. Helps prevent water/dirt from getting inside the lock unit and causing pre-mature failure.

• No wear and tear on the read heads. Because cards are "waved" in-front of the lock (average 1.5cm range) they never make contact with a read head which eliminates the possibility of a damaged card breaking in the lock.

• High Quality Mortise Lock Body with Built-in Deadbolt

• High quality intersect finish combines a stunning look with excellent scratch resistant durability.

The 6600-73MI Hotel Lock (like all our hotel locks) require an encoder and software attached to a PC at hotel reception. A card is 'encoded' at reception to include the specific lock (defined by room number) and the duration of the valid entry (for example 2 days). The card, once encoded will operate the specific lock for the time period included in the encoding.

Yes, with all of our hotel locks you would be able to program a guest card with a preset expiration date. Using the RFID hotel management software a card can be programmed to expire in a few minutes, days, months or years. A complete system would include the locks, software cd, encoder and cards.
