Product Overview
The 6600-73MI lock is a dual technology five latch mortise lock designed to accept both Magnetic Stripe Cards and Smart Cards for routine use as well as incorporating a Mechanical Override Key. The 6600-73MI is perfect for medium to large hotels. Under normal conditions, guests use the inexpensive magnetic stripe cards (approximately $0.50 / card). However, magnetic cards have a limited life and usually can be re-used for 200 or so guests. These cards are not the best option for hotel wait, cleaning and maintenance staff as these employees pass in and out of the rooms on a much higher frequency. Smart Cards are slightly more expensive (approximately $1.50 / card). However, the cards are much more durable and can be used 100,000 times.
